Medical Surgical Registered Nurse; Med​/Surg RN – Night Shift

A hospital in Alexandria is seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join its night shift team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced nurse who enjoys working in an acute care environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.

The Med/Surg RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse adult patient population on a medical‑surgical unit. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to promote positive clinical outcomes during overnight hours.

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Support a patient‑centered environment focused on safety and quality care.

• Canadian citizenship required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Active Registered Nurse license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical‑thinking skills.
