ICU Nurse
RN‑Registered Nurse – Telemetry. Compensation: $1,260 weekly stipend plus $31–$32 per hour base pay ($1,116.0–$1,152 weekly).
Location:
Alexandria, LA.
Contract:
13 weeks (start August 10 2026).
Night shift: 12 hours/day, 3 days/week (7 PM–7 AM). Weekend requirement:
Every other weekend. On‑call:
None.
The RN provides routine and complex care on a Cardiac and Telemetry unit, utilizing the nursing process within an independent and collaborative environment. The role supports long‑term goals, manages contingencies, and delegates tasks to support patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Meet the OneCHRISTUS competencies as a leader of self, others, or leaders.
- Deliver nursing care per the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side‑effects, and evaluate therapeutic effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying needs and resources.
- 1–2 years of nursing experience, with at least 6 months of telemetry experience.
- Epic system experience required.
- Travel experience required.
- BLS certification from AHA required.
- ACLS certification from AHA required.
- RN license in the state of employment or compact required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
- Must attend mandatory New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire.
- Precepted by designated staff with competency validation, including Med Surg-specific competency and annual verification.
- Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency program or specific orientation.
Full‑time, 7 PM–7 AM.
Shift: Nights.
Contract:
13‑week assignment. Temp to perm possible.
