Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Job Summary:

Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Telemetry unit, ensuring effective monitoring and treatment of cardiac and other critical patients. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition upon admission and continuously monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and family members about health conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations requiring immediate intervention.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid state nursing license (RN).
• Have at least 1 year of recent experience in a Telemetry or similar acute care setting.
• Demonstrate ability to monitor cardiac telemetry equipment effectively.
• Be a team player with excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications prior to employment.
