Position: Registered Nurse I - Full Time

Role Overview

Responsible for assessing patients, developing care plans, and delivering quality nursing care across diverse patient populations, including pediatric to geriatric. Provides supervision to LVN/LPNs, nursing assistants, and clerical staff, potentially serving as a charge nurse.

Responsible for assessing patients, developing care plans, and delivering quality nursing care across diverse patient populations, including pediatric to geriatric. Provides supervision to LVN/LPNs, nursing assistants, and clerical staff, potentially serving as a charge nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care Planning:
    Create and update comprehensive nursing care plans based on assessments and interdisciplinary input.
  • Patient Care Delivery:
    Implement and prioritize care, ensuring safety and therapeutic standards while accurately documenting procedures.
  • Patient Care Evaluation:
    Monitor patient responses, assess progress toward goals, and revise plans accordingly; document daily progress.
  • Teaching &

    Education:

    Assess education needs, adapt teaching resources, explain procedures, and serve as a role model and preceptor for students and new staff.
  • Communication & Safety:
    Report patient conditions clearly, maintain confidentiality, foster effective team communication, and identify unsafe practices for reporting and resolution.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; RN license in the relevant state or a compact license.
  • Six months to one year of RN or GN permit holder experience.
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Completion of organizational orientation, competency validations, and participation in residency or orientation programs for new graduates or new to the specialty.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and clinical skills essential for providing safe, effective patient care.
