Travel Nurse Source  is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Alexandria, Louisiana, 71301!

Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Alexandria, Louisiana

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating every other weekend required

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery unit including triage, active labor monitoring, and delivery support
• Interpret and respond to fetal monitoring strips using equipment such as fetal monitors, IUPC, and FSE
• Perform vaginal examinations and assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Function as OB circulator in the operating room during surgical deliveries
• Assist with procedures including amniocentesis, amnioinfusions, and IUPC/FSE placement
• Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech EMR systems

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• Proficiency in starting IVs and drawing labs
• Ability to interpret fetal monitoring strips
• Proficiency in vaginal examinations and OB circulator duties
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

• Ability to scrub for cesarean section procedures
• Experience with CPN and/or Meditech EMR platforms
• Highly organized with strong time management skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

• Work in a well-staffed Labor & Delivery unit with defined patient ratios (1:1 or 2:1 based on acuity) and a supportive team structure
• Gain experience in a full-service obstetric setting performing a wide range of procedures in both labor and surgical environments
