American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room for a General Surgery Circulating Nurse role requiring BLS certification and call availability.
Requirements- Active RN license (state of employment or compact) required
- BLS certification via AHA required
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- BSN preferred
- General Surgery Circulating Nurse position in a hospital operating room/surgery setting
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- 13-week assignment, full time
- Call required
- Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned surgical patients
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and family members
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate consideration
- Previous employees of any CHRISTUS facility must be separated for 6 months prior to starting a travel assignment
