Position Summary...

The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, leads the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems across commercial and industrial facilities. This role oversees diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and regulatory compliance. The position involves managing field teams, coordinating service workloads, and supporting business‑critical operations, including on‑call duties. The Senior Technician also mentors associates, manages vendor relationships, and drives continuous improvements by evaluating new technologies and refining processes to meet evolving organizational needs.

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial equipment.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Manage refrigerant handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands‑on training and evaluating skill development.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance records.
• Support on‑call rotations to address urgent service needs promptly.
• Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service scheduling to meet business priorities.

• Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and building pneumatics.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant systems in commercial and industrial settings.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant handling protocols, and compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R codes.
• Ability to lead and mentor field teams, providing hands‑on training and technical guidance.
• Proficiency in managing parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service coordination to meet operational priorities.
• Effective communication skills for detailed documentation and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
