Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is seeking a Paraprofessional to join our team at Lakes Country Academy (LCA) in Alexandria, Minnesota beginning in the 2026-27 school year. Join our growing team at LCA, where you will help K–12 students thrive in a supportive, highly individualized educational setting.

Our students are referred by local school districts and benefit from a calm, structured environment designed to meet both academic and behavioral needs. We are looking for team players who enjoy working with young people and are committed to helping every learner succeed.

• Typical hours: 8:15 a.m. – 3:15 p.m., 6.75 hours per day
• Workdays: 180 days per year, aligned with the school calendar

• Support K–6 students in their learning, social, and emotional development
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assist with classroom instruction and behavioral support
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive environment
• Receive on-the-job training and ongoing support

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One of the following:
  • 60+ college credits
  • Completed associate degree
  • Passing score on the Para educator or Para Pro exam (can be completed after hire within 30 days)

• Experience working with students with challenging behaviors
• A positive attitude, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed

$20.60 - $26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications
