Openings are available from 2:15-5:30pm or 3:30-5:30pm at the Early Education and all 6 Elementary Schools. Bonus pay of up to $3.00/hour in addition to hourly rate of pay. Alexandria Public Schools Community Education offers a wide variety of youth and adult programs throughout the year. Community Education is looking for creative, energetic, and personable people who have a passion for families and have outstanding customer service skills to join our dynamic team.
Compass is Alexandria Community Education’s school‑age care program, providing before and after school, non‑school day and summer care for students PreK‑5th Grade.
The Compass Assistants are often appealing to high school and college students looking for money or considering a career in teaching or child development. Must be at least 16 years of age.
Essential FunctionsThe Compass Assistant supports the planning and implementation of the child care program and its daily activities. Assistants will participate and supervise daily activities and site areas in accordance with program guidelines, operations and daily plans.
Compensation$14-$15/hour.
