This position serves as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Instructor, responsible for instructing and facilitating SLPA courses in online classroom setting and overseeing internships. Some on-campus work is required. The role emphasizes curriculum development, assessment of student performance, and student advising and retention to support academic success. The instructor demonstrates strong interpersonal and teamwork skills while collaborating with healthcare and industry partners to ensure relevant and high-quality educational experiences.

Responsibilities include program director duties, overseeing the success of the program, participation in college promotional and student success activities, as well as maintaining current professional skills, SLP practice, and required credentials. Through these efforts, the position contributes to an engaging, learning environment that prepares students to work as support professionals under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to implement treatment plans for individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an institution approved by the Council on Academic Accreditation.
• Two years (4000 hours) beyond the CCC Certificate level (Certificate of Clinical Competence which is also known as ASHA
  - American Speech Language Hearing Association)
• The occupational experience must be as a certified speech language pathologist with experience providing direct client services within a medical, educational or private practice setting.
• One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

• Teaching methods that support a student-ready/student development focused approach.
• Ability to work with a student body with a broad range of interests and abilities.
• Ability to work as a positive team member.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and strong public speaking or presentation skills.

Unlimited faculty are required to successfully complete the teaching and learning competency requirement within six academic-year semesters (3 years) from the date of hire or conversion into an unlimited position, unless they meet one of the conditions which would exempt them from the requirement to complete these courses. Pursuant to the MSCF contract, each new faculty member's education and experience will determine how they are credentialed and where they are placed on the salary schedule. The Campus HR office cannot guarantee an annual salary for faculty. Therefore, when a new faculty member accepts a job offer, they do so understanding that, initially, they will be placed at the minimum salary for that position.
