Special Education Paraprofessional - Alexandria

Lakes Country Service Cooperative (LCSC) is seeking a Paraprofessional to join Lakes Country Academy (LCA) in Alexandria, Minnesota, beginning in the 2026-27 school year, supporting K-6 students in a calm, structured, highly individualized setting.

Students are referred by local school districts and benefit from a supportive environment designed to meet both academic and behavioral needs.

Your Role Will Include:

• Support K-6 students in learning, social, and emotional development.
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Assist with classroom instruction and behavioral support.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive environment.
• Receive on-the-job training and ongoing support.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, AND one of the following:.
• 60+ college credits, OR completed Associate degree, OR passing score on the Para educator/Para Pro exam (may be completed within 30 days after hire).
• Preferred: experience working with students with challenging behaviors.
• Preferred: positive attitude, patience, and a passion for helping students succeed.

Salary and Benefits:

• Pay Range: $20.60–$26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.

• Lakes Country Academy, Alexandria, MN.
• Hours:
  
  8:15am–3:15pm (6.75 hours/day).
• 180 days/year, aligned with the school calendar (33.75 hr/week).

  September 1, 2026.
