On-Call / As Needed

• Support classroom teachers by guiding and reinforcing lessons.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to explain instructions and assignments.
• Administer make-up tests and quizzes.
• Collect and maintain data as directed by the teacher.
• Prepare instructional materials under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior plans.
• Support students during crisis intervention, which may include physical restraints.
• Provide assistance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), which may include swimming or adaptive physical education.
• Support students with personal care tasks, including hygiene, toileting, feeding, dressing, diapering, and physical transfers.
• Supervise students in various school settings including buses, playgrounds, study halls, lunchrooms, hallways, and locker rooms.
• Report discipline concerns to the teacher and/or principal and manage minor behavioral issues in accordance with district guidelines.
• Monitor and assist students during bus transportation.
