Operations Assistant
As an Operations Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the bank’s operational processes, while ensuring accurate and timely data management. This position focuses on creating efficiencies, maintaining compliance, and delivering exceptional service to both internal teams and customers.
How You’ll Make a Difference- Process and review unposted and pending transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and payment reversals
- Make timely system cuts including but not limited to, overdraft decisions, mobile banking deposits, ATM deposits, and remote deposit capture uploads. Determine if deposits holds are necessary for such transactions
- Process wire transfers, ACHs, return items, stop payments, and unauthorized transactions
- Research and deliver analytical support related to escrow, loan payments, disbursements, and other funding activities
- Review new deposit account documentation and system set up for accuracy and record any policy exceptions requiring follow up
- Conduct reconciliation and balancing activities to ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts
- Support Internet Banking services, including customer inquiries and parameter settings
- Update rates within core systems for deposit accounts, certificates of deposits, and loan indices
- Provide research and analysis to ensure operational compliance measures are met with accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare or review various reports to maintain a pulse on bank wide operational functions and appropriate record‑keeping
- Complete account verification requests, process levies and garnishments
- Complete necessary deposit account and loan maintenance requests and other customer inquiries. Monitor and route support emails appropriately
- Understand and provide Treasury Management support to the customer service team, relationship managers/bankers, and customers (Treasury Management programs include but are not limited to Positive Pay, ACH Client, and Remote Deposit Capture)
- Conduct fraud investigations and assist the customer service team with fraud procedures and processes
- Respond to customer support calls and resolve operational issues promptly
- Follow established internal controls and assist in maintaining documentation to support audits, exams, and internal reviews
- Experience in bank operations and knowledge of banking products/services
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking systems
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Excellent customer service and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of ACH rules, check processing, and operations compliance
