Job Summary:
Production Maintenance Mechanic I is for a qualified individual with proven maintenance skills. Responsibilities include efficient maintenance and repair of all extraction, mix-blend, boilers, HVAC, cooling towers, waste treatment, water softeners, RO units, and production equipment. Conducts preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with other projects as assigned reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs planned, corrective and unplanned maintenance on specified equipment.
- Uses available documentation for equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Ensure safety in the workplace by eliminating unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Supports Quality Systems.
- Protect Company assets by the direct intervention of any condition resulting in the abuse of equipment or buildings.
- Executes the preventive maintenance program as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
- Maintains communication (oral and written) within the maintenance team to ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Other duties as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or GED.
- 2+ years related experience in a food grade facility.
- Self-starter, able to work in a team-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aseptic processing and high-speed form/fill/seal packaging.
- Boiler license preferred MN 1st class
B. Willing to obtain a 1st class B under apprenticeship.
