Position Overview
Mechanical Assembler – Alexandria, MN – First Shift.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical wiring and assembly operations on all product lines of electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Read, understand, and interpret electrical schematics and prints.
- Wire all product lines with no supervision.
- Lead a small team on multiple product lines independently.
- Wire all panel types for machine assembly and ensure conformity to UL/CE and NEMA ratings.
- Monitor machine project schedules, working with Project Manager and Assembly Lead/Manager on hours and resources.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and properly care for shop tools.
- Ensure Assembly Standards are met, including inspection of panels and wiring for neatness and conformance to requirements.
- Work closely with mechanical assemblers, engineering teams, and project managers during machine projects.
- Take a lead role in the World Class Checkout Process.
- Provide technical input for machine operator and training manuals.
- Travel for installation and servicing of machines as needed.
- 2-year technical college degree (preferred) and 2-4 years of electrical assembly experience.
- Excellent mechanical and electrical capability, or capacity to learn.
- Solid mechanical problem‑solving skills.
- Potential to be a motivator and leader.
- Professional communication, attitude, and image.
- Good verbal and written presentation, organization, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- Base hourly range: $23.00–$32.00.
