High school diploma or GED required. Technical school, machining certificate, or CNC programming education preferred.

Operating CNC machines safely and efficiently, loading/unloading parts, and ensuring finished products meet specifications. Reading and following blueprints and manufacturing orders to maintain precision standards. Performing quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. Supporting the machine shop with deburring, tumbling, packing, assembly, punching, and bending tasks. Performing basic machine maintenance, including cleaning chips and monitoring coolant levels. Following 5S, Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM), and safety initiatives.

Troubleshooting machine errors and variances and recommending process improvements. Cross-training on multiple machines to develop versatile skills. Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members to achieve production goals.

Experience operating, setting up, or programming CNC machine tools. Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges. Understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, speeds, and material properties. Strong attention to detail, mathematical ability, and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work around machining equipment throughout the shift. Ability to lift materials, tooling, and components weighing up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity to safely operate CNC machinery and precision measuring equipment. Ability to work safely around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
