Location:

Alexandria, MN Pay Rate: $31.50 per hour

Schedule:

Job Duties

  • Train production employees on equipment cleaning, sanitation procedures, PPE, and chemical safety.
  • Lead sanitation activities, shift huddles, and cleaning task coordination.
  • Support and audit CIP processes, sanitation records, and documentation.
  • Inspect equipment and production areas to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Perform sanitation audits, chemical testing, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain sanitation supplies, cleaning tools, and housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
  • Partner with production, quality, and leadership teams to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient operation.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional training in food safety, sanitation, or manufacturing is a plus.

Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in sanitation.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SQF, allergen control, and contamination prevention.
  • Experience with CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems, sanitation procedures, and chemical handling.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and training skills.
  • Ability to read and write in English and perform basic math calculations.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, reach, stretch, and climb ladders as needed.
  • Regularly lift and carry 25-50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals, food allergens, and wet or slippery surfaces.
