Lead and oversee press cell operations, ensuring efficient production, quality, and safety standards are met

Operate and optimize press functions to maximize production rates, yields, and overall performance

Set up and manage extrusion processes, including creating and maintaining extrusion process sheets (EPS)

Monitor production systems (e.g., Biz Ware) and use calculations to adjust billet length and optimize output

Coordinate and adjust press schedules based on production needs and priorities

Inspect materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, tolerances, and surface quality

Set up, operate, and maintain equipment including saws, die heaters, stretchers, and cranes

Perform preventative maintenance and ensure proper installation and care of tooling (e.g., saw blades, dies)

Support and train team members while cross-training across all extrusion and press cell functions

Maintain a clean, organized work area using 6S standards and follow all safety procedures

Prior leadership or lead-level experience required

Strong experience with extrusion press operations and related manufacturing processes

Ability to read and interpret production data to verify rates, yields, and performance metrics

Mechanical aptitude, including ability to weld and perform equipment setup and adjustments

Ability to operate and safely use various equipment including cranes, saws, and stretchers

Strong understanding of quality standards, material identification, and inspection processes

Ability to schedule, prioritize, and adapt production operations as needed

Familiarity with production systems and tools (e.g., Biz Ware, log calculations, process sheets)

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement

Ability to work cross-functionally and train others in press cell operations
