Job Summary

Production Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing efficient maintenance and repair of all extraction, mix‑blend, processing, filling and production equipment. Conducts preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and assists with other projects as assigned while reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Performs planned, corrective and unplanned maintenance on specified equipment.
  • Uses available documentation for equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Ensures safety in the workplace by eliminating unsafe conditions.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Supports Quality Systems.
  • Protects company assets by directly intervening to prevent any condition that results in the abuse of equipment or buildings.
  • Executes the preventive maintenance program as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • Maintains communication (oral and written) within the maintenance team to ensure smooth shift transitions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

High school diploma, or GED; two or more years related experience in a food grade facility. Mechatronics / Aseptic processing and high‑speed form/fill/seal packaging preferred.

Knowledge and Skills Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Math Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of business software and manufacturing software (HMIs, PLCs, and manufacturing controls).

Other Qualifications

Must be able to work flexible hours.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Boiler License and/or Electrician's License is a plus.

Other

Skills and Abilities

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills critical.
