As an Asphalt Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining asphalt milling equipment to remove old or damaged asphalt surfaces efficiently and safely. You will play a crucial role in preparing surfaces for asphalt paving and ensuring the quality of the final product.
Traveling throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Iowa to perform assignments on site.
Responsibilities- Operate asphalt milling machines and related equipment to remove old asphalt layers and prepare surfaces for repaving.
- Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on milling equipment, such as greasing, cleaning, and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor the milling process to ensure that the depth and width of the milling cut meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in the transportation milling machine as needed.
- Collaborate with the milling crew and other team members to coordinate work activities and ensure efficient project execution.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, work performed, and any issues encountered during milling operations.
