Master Mechanic

• Analyze operation of systems and components of heavy trucks and heavy construction equipment to determine performance using engineering specifications and test equipment.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical systems, diagnose and repair systems.
• Disassemble systems, examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
• Repair or replace defective parts, adjust settings and reassemble according to specifications.
• Operate electronic testing equipment, precision instruments, gauges, hand tools, portable power tools, welding and cutting equipment, cranes and hoists.
• Weld and fabricate parts as needed.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
• Comply with Company Safety Program.
• Travel throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Iowa during construction season and work in the shop year‑round.
