The Building Automation Technician supportstheinstallation,start-up,commissioning,integration,andmaintenanceofbuildingautomationsystemswithafocusonequipment-leveloperation.
Thisroleassistswithtestingsequencesofoperation,performingstartupandfunctionalchecksonHVACequipment,validatingalarmsandsafeties,andtuningcontrolloopsandsetpoints.
ThetechnicianworkscloselywithTABcontractorsandmechanicalteamstoresolveequipment-specificcontrolissues.
Thetechnicianalsoprovidesonsitetraining,assistswithtroubleshooting,andmaintainsaccuraterecordsofinstallations,service calls,maintenance,andprojectactivitieswithincompanydatabaseswhilemaintainingstrongknowledgeofbuildingautomationsystems(BAS) andHVACcontrols.
Thisrolecommunicatestechnologycapabilitiestotechnicalandbusinessusers,identifiescustomerneedsandsalesopportunitiestosupportgrowth,andresolvescustomerissuesinalignmentwithcompanygoalsandvalues.
- 3–6yearsBASorHVACcontrolsexperience
- JourneymanHVACTechnicianorequivalentexperience
- FamiliaritywithBASprogrammingenvironments
- Abilitytoreadarchitectural,mechanical,andelectricalblueprints
- Understandingofbasicelectricalsystemsandnetworkcommunications(TCP/IP,Ethernet,VPN)
- Valid driver’slicensewithcleandrivingrecordandabilitytoobtainaDOTphysical
- Abilitytotravelapproximately
25percent - OSHA
10certificationpreferred
