Type: Full-Time
Pay: $75,000–$85,000 annually (depending on experience)

Position SummaryOur client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing accounting team. This position is responsible for supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and a desire to grow within a collaborative finance organization.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and post monthly journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash activity.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Assist with fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and prepaid expense tracking.
- Analyze financial data and investigate variances.
- Prepare supporting schedules for internal and external audits.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
- Perform additional accounting projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (internship experience may be considered).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
