Compensation:85,000 – 130,000, DOE
Work Schedule:
Hybrid work schedule after introductory period Minimum three days per week in the Alexandria office
Thompson, Hughes & Trollinger, PLLC is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead Audit & Assurance engagements while working directly with firm leadership in a collaborative CPA firm.
What We're Looking For- Active CPA license
- Eight or more years of public accounting experience with significant audit experience
- Proven experience leading audit engagement teams
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and audit methodology
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Commitment to exceptional client service and continuous improvement
- Lead audit, review, and agreed-upon procedures engagements from planning through completion
- Manage engagement budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout engagements
- Review work papers and financial statements for quality and compliance
- Mentor, coach, and develop staff accountants and senior accountants
- Research accounting and auditing issues while providing technical guidance
- Partner with firm leadership to strengthen client relationships and service
