As a Business Services Group Supervisor, you'll serve as a primary point of contact for clients, oversee sophisticated business tax engagements, guide staff development, and help clients navigate multi-state tax, business planning, and compliance matters.

The OpportunityAs a Supervisor within the Business Services Group, you'll oversee complex tax and advisory engagements while serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities Tax & Advisory Leadership- Review complex federal and state business tax returns
- Analyze and resolve multi-state tax issues including nexus, apportionment, and filing requirements
- Conduct advanced federal, state, and local tax research
- Develop and communicate tax planning recommendations
- Assist clients with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and examinations
- Lead business and owner-level tax planning engagements
- Prepare and review quarterly tax projections
- Advise clients regarding entity structure and tax strategies
- Assist with state tax planning considerations
- Integrate business and individual tax planning recommendations
- Serve as a primary client contact
- Maintain proactive communication throughout the year
- Identify opportunities to expand client services
- Deliver high-quality client service and responsiveness
- Build long-term trusted advisor relationships
- Supervise Staff Accountants and Senior Accountants
- Review work papers, returns, and client deliverables
- Mentor, train, and develop team members
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
- Help recruit, hire, and retain talented professionals
- Monitor engagement budgets and profitability
- Manage deadlines, workflow, and staffing needs
- Utilize firm technology and workflow systems effectively
- Assist with process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Support overall practice growth initiatives
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Accounting Certificate
- CPA, EA, or comparable professional certification
- 4-7 years of public accounting tax and accounting experience
