Julia Ramirez. This position is a union position; provisions of the relevant collective bargaining agreement/labor contract apply to the filling of this position.
- Serves as Placement Clearance Desk Worker.
- Processes background checks requested from the SACWIS LEADS request log by conducting criminal background checks and reviewing printouts.
- Regularly checks the Placement Clearance Desk (PCD) email box and fax for waivers and holds.
- Responds to calls from various department and purchase of service staff requesting information on placement clearances, holds, background checks, and Recipient Identification Number (RIN) temporary medical cards.
- Maintains LEADS log of all inquiries made to the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System and maintains LEADS certification.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school.
- Requires 2 years of office experience.
- Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 wpm.
- Requires ability to pass a background check.
- Requires ability to secure and maintain Illinois State Police LEADS certification.
- Requires ability to work mandatory overtime.
