Our client is a local government agency dedicated to providing inclusive, innovative, and high-quality public services to its residents. The Administrative Assistant will support administrative functions and interact with city officials to ensure smooth operations.
This is a part‑time position in Alexandria, VA, paying $21.00 per hour. It is a contract position, working 30 hours per week, primarily Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some flexibility.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to city officials and departments
- Maintain filing, data entry, and record‑keeping systems
- Answer phones and handle correspondence professionally
- Assist with invoicing and timecard approvals
- Interact with council members and stakeholders to facilitate communication
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or similar role
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact effectively with officials and the public
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data entry skills
