Position: Executive Assistant.
  • Directs the administrative operations of the office. Ensures the most efficient and effective support is provided to the COO in the execution of his/her responsibilities.
  • Establishes and exercises control over the Chief Operating Officer's (COO) calendar for daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
  • Provides advisory services on a variety of administrative and editorial issues which impact on DoWEA.
  • Serves as the Directorate’s administrator and primary manager for the web-based suspense tracking system.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations and customer support to the Financial and Business Operations (FBO) Directorate.
Duties

Requirements Conditions of employment
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized

Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes: coordinate taskings, executive engagements, and schedules by using existing web-based and digital tools; and manage correspondence and suspense processes by reviewing, assigning, and tracking high-priority actions, ensuring accurate, timely responses and effective coordination on sensitive matters.

Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
