We’re looking for full‑time Automotive Assistant and Service Managers to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Alexandria, VA area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

About the Position of Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager to ensure each Mavis retail location operates efficiently, safely and effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Enforce established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Schedule mechanics/technicians work.
  • Manage outside orders.
  • Ensure quality and timely completion of jobs.
  • Meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain the safety of team members.
About the Position of Service Manager

The Service Manager is responsible for assisting customers with tire selections and recommending necessary under‑car repair services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist customers with tire selections and recommended repairs.
  • Direct the workflow of Mechanics, Alignment Technicians, and Tire Technicians.
  • Stage vehicle repair/maintenance work.
  • Communicate directly with customers to assess needs and provide information on repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure customers are satisfied with their in‑store experience and strive to meet expectations.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of Automotive Assistant / Service Manager you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possess one of the following:
  • 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales; or
  • 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive repairs/maintenance; or
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
