Career Development Program – Operations (Operations Leader Trainee) Position Overview

White Cap is hiring an Operations Leader Trainee as part of the Career Development Program. The program is a 12–18 month training course that includes on‑job training, job shadowing, leadership development, and partnership with managers to help accelerate your career from the warehouse to customer service, management and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in rotational assignments in various segments of the branch business with on‑job training to learn business systems and processes, and company culture.
  • Receive an inclusive career experience with dedicated resources to ensure a successful long‑term career path at White Cap.
  • Participate in a tailored learning curriculum with leadership development sessions, operations training, and systems training focused on developing future operations leaders for opportunities that best match your interests, skills and abilities.
  • Benefit from a robust support system – each Operations Leader Trainee will be assigned a Regional Advocate, Mentor, and additional process coaches.
  • Gain exposure to Senior Leadership throughout the program.
  • Present a capstone project to White Cap leadership, creating exposure across the company.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Willing to relocate upon completing the program.
  • Able to start the program between March and June 2026.
  • Driven to succeed with an energetic, professional, and goal‑oriented attitude.
  • Strong operations focus, including partnering with customers to develop value‑added solutions and experience leading or building a team.
  • Strong communication skills and experience conversing with team members and customers.
