Position Summary The Project Management Analyst will assist the Federal Audit Resource Management Team in providing comprehensive administrative and project management support across the federal audit practice and, as needed, at the project level. This role serves as a key coordination point among project managers/leadership, employees, Sikich leadership, government stakeholders, and prime contractors. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional professionalism and accuracy.
What will you do in this role?
Project Operations & Team Coordination
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring timely completion of administrative requirements, system access requests, and training obligations.
- Track and monitor mandatory training and certification requirements for engagement personnel to support compliance with contractual and organizational standards.
- Learn and utilize project scheduling and resource management tools to track staff availability, planned leave, and project assignments.
Budget & Financial Management
- Review and analyze employee timesheets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project charging requirements.
- Update and maintain project budget actuals on a recurring basis, monitoring labor utilization and project expenditures against approved budgets.
- Identify and communicate budget variances, resource constraints, and potential impacts to project leadership.
- Support financial forecasting, resource planning, and reporting activities to assist management in effective decision-making.
Travel & Logistics Administration
- Coordinate business travel arrangements for project personnel, including travel authorizations, logistics planning, and schedule coordination.
- Monitor travel documentation and reimbursement packages to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely processing.
- Serve as a resource for travel-related administrative support and issue resolution.
Stakeholder Communication & Meeting Management
- Professionally communicate with Sikich leadership and client stakeholders.
- Schedule, coordinate, facilitate, and document meetings.
- Manage multiple calendars across separate systems and environments to support efficient scheduling and coordination.
- Prepare written correspondence, meeting materials, status updates, and other project communications for leadership and stakeholders.
Asset & Administrative Management
- Maintain inventories of government-furnished and company-issued equipment, software licenses, and related assets.
- Monitor asset assignments and licensing requirements to support operational readiness and compliance.
- Troubleshoot administrative, operational, and project-related issues, escalating matters when appropriate and independently resolving challenges whenever possible.
Special Projects & Leadership Support
- Execute special assignments and strategic initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Independently assess competing priorities and adjust workflows to meet changing project needs and deadlines.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic audit environment.
