An Assistant Superintendent has the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to manage the day-to-day field operations of multifamily construction projects. As Assistant Superintendent, you will oversee the subcontractors’ work to ensure a complete project in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will work to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of construction management experience in a field role.
  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc. as well as safety and government regulations.
  • Able to work and communicate clearly and effectively with a team including tradespeople, inspectors, clients, etc.
  • Ability to effectively work in sector-specific software such as Pro Core or Blue Beam, as well as some experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • OSHA 30 is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to work weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to travel locally to project sites as needed.
  • In coordination with the Project Superintendent, become proficient with the creation and maintenance of a job schedule that defines the critical path and shows completion of the project according to contract completion dates and building turnover sequence.
  • Management of the activities of multiple project subcontractors including coordination of weekly meetings, supervision of work put in place and corrections as needed, and punch list management.
  • Assist with the preparation of the jobsite utilization plan for temporary facilities, material, and equipment movement, staging, and site access.
  • Assist with the preconstruction surveys by documenting existing conditions prior to the start of any work at the site.
  • Ensure that all CBG safety standards are observed at all times, including OSHA, HAZCOM, and other applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations and standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely navigate a construction project site including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs and ladders, and working at heights.
  • This position regularly works on-site at a construction job site where the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to loud.
