Travel RN - Interventional Radiology​/IR - Interventional Radiology

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology (IR) position requiring a minimum of 1 year of IR or related critical care experience, with on-call rotation responsibilities including after-hours and weekends.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Interventional Radiology setting with 2 IR suites,

• Common procedures include peripheral angios, endovascular repair, PICCs, para/thoracentesis, and embolizations - basic IR only; no neuro or cardiac cases performed,

• Patient population includes young adults (18-45), middle-aged adults (45-60), and geriatric patients (60+),

• Average caseload of 4-6 cases per day,

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with an on-call rotation covering after-hours and weekends,

• On-call rotation is shared among 7 RNs (including traveler),

• Must be able to respond to the facility within 30 minutes while on call,

• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts,

Epic (Cupid module),

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (VA state or Compact license) required,

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, ICU, ED, or Progressive Cardiac Care,

• Critical care experience required,

• Proficiency with IV placement required,

Additional Information

• All cases are completed in the IR lab,

• Scrubs are provided (maroon),

• Unit orientation is 1 week,

• On-call holiday coverage includes 1 major and 1 minor holiday,
