Position Overview

Queen of Apostles Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School teacher to join our educational community for the remainder of the  school year. As a Catholic school committed to fostering faith, excellence, and joy, we are looking for an educator who is enthusiastic about shaping the minds and hearts of our students. The ideal candidate will be devoted to providing a high‑quality academic experience, integrating Catholic teachings into the curriculum, and collaborating effectively with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Educational Excellence:
    • Design and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum standards.
    • Foster a love for learning by creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
    • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Faith Formation:
    • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and virtues into daily lessons, promoting spiritual growth among students.
    • Organize and participate in religious activities, prayer services, and sacramental preparation.
    • Encourage students to develop a personal relationship with God and embrace Christian values.
  • Team

    Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and staff to enhance the overall school environment.
    • Participate in regular team meetings, professional development, and school events.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives and goals.
  • Communication and Parental Involvement:
    • Maintain open and effective communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and newsletters.
    • Encourage parental involvement in their child's education and the school community.
    • Address parent concerns and provide support as needed.
  • Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
    • Implement effective assessment strategies to measure student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents on academic and behavioral performance.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Establish clear expectations for behavior and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
    • Implement effective classroom management strategies to address student needs and maintain a focused learning atmosphere.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; holds/willing to acquire state teaching certification.
  • Strong background in Catholic theology and teachings.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for elementary students.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the school community.
