Extended Day Staff – Part Time

St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School is looking for a dynamic staff member for our Lower School Extended Day Program. The employee will be working with students between the ages of 3-10 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates must have experience working with school-age children in a group setting. Interactive supervision is paramount with all children. A degree in early childhood or a child–related field is preferred.

• Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
• Assists in planning, preparing, and implementing daily activities (indoor/outdoor).
• Greets each child in a warm and friendly manner.
• Interacts with the children and encourages their involvement in activities.
• Provides a warm, safe, and caring environment that is kept orderly, clean, and appealing. The environment should allow the child to grow and to explore.
• Responsible for the health, welfare, and safety of the children.
• Interacts appropriately and professionally with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
• Maintains adherence to all school policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
• Models professional standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and the school.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the school administration.

• High school diploma or higher (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Must be willing and able to be CPR and First Aid certified
• Training and/or experience in early childhood education or child care is valued

• Can work independently and can work as part of a team
• Accepts responsibility and is self‑motivated
• Takes a proactive approach in all job responsibilities
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic
