Sports / Activity Coach, Youth Development
You understand that the most compassionate act for a student is to maintain the highest standards, never lowering expectations. You've excelled, competed, or delivered results in arenas that most people only encounter secondhand: elite-level athletics, a distinguished degree from a leading university, a position at a highly competitive organization, or a business you launched and grew independently. Now imagine channeling that drive into a classroom of K-12 learners who have never encountered someone with your credentials, someone committed to pushing them toward benchmarks they didn't believe were within reach.
If demanding elite performance from students strikes you as unreasonable, this role isn't for you.
Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction to enable students to complete core academic work in roughly two hours per day. The remaining time is dedicated to developing life skills, pursuing personal passions, and fostering meaningful development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal track record establishes the standard: someone capable of assessing group dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding them through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty.
Your role is not instructional. The AI platform delivers academic content. Your responsibility is to inspire, coach, and enforce the same rigorous standards you've applied to your own pursuits. Forty percent of your time is spent in direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions that identify obstacles and establish ambitious targets. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for competence development, not engagement theater.
The final twenty percent is dedicated to morning sessions that set a daily tone of high performance and reject complacency.
The trajectory here emphasizes mastery, not advancement into management. You begin by mastering Alpha's methodology and earning student trust. Within a few months, you become the person they rely on to push them beyond self-imposed limits. The return isn't a title change. It's the continuity of working with the same students year after year, standing beside them as they mature. It's observing a student who struggled with eye contact in September deliver a poised presentation to adults in May.
This position remains student-centered. Students are the objective, not a platform for career progression. If you're seeking to leave your current role because of mission alignment, not resume enhancement, submit your application now.
