Video Management Systems (VMS) Engineer

Location:

Alexandria, VA (on‑site)

Pay: $90,000 per year

Active Secret Clearance Required.

• 5+ years of experience in computer and network systems administration and support.
• 5+ years of experience with video surveillance systems, security cameras, and IP‑based video surveillance technology.
• Strong knowledge of IP addressing, IP protocols, NAT, firewall rules, and VLANs.
• Robust networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routers, switches, VPNs).
• Hands‑on experience in physical security electronic surveillance.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, logical deduction, and a thorough process of elimination.
• IT proficiency and technical background in network configuration, administration, engineering, and support.
• Organized self‑starter who works well in a dynamic team.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

• Provide top‑notch support to federal government customers.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of engineers providing tier 2 support.
• Troubleshoot and configure industry‑standard network equipment and camera equipment.
• Develop and deliver training materials to assist in troubleshooting steps for production issues.
• Participate in relevant meetings, briefings, discussions, and working group sessions.
• Communicate effectively with upper management and field personnel.
