Project Manager WTP​/WWTP

Peterson Consulting Group is partnering with a highly respected heavy civil contractor specializing in Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTP/WWTP) construction to identify a strong Project Manager for their growing operations in the Northern Virginia / Washington DC market. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a team delivering critical infrastructure projects that directly impact local communities while working alongside experienced industry leaders.

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTP/WWTP) construction
• Proven ability to manage complex mechanical, structural, and process-driven infrastructure projects
• Experience managing projects valued at $10M+ preferred
• Strong background working with self‑perform crews, subcontractors, and owners
• Excellent leadership, scheduling, and problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency with project documentation, reporting, and construction management software
• Willingness to work within the Northern Virginia / Washington DC region or relocate for the right opportunity

• Manage all aspects of WTP/WWTP construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee project scheduling, cost control, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and change management.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate closely with field teams, engineers, and owners to proactively resolve challenges and maintain project momentum.
• Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and communication with internal leadership and project stakeholders.
• Support project teams in delivering complex treatment plant upgrades, expansions, and new‑build infrastructure projects.
