Serco supports the Navy Price Fighters, who are regularly tasked with supporting cost reduction efforts for US Army programs and acquisitions. This Cost Analyst will be on a dynamic team responsible for analyzing procurement actions, assessing price reasonableness, and providing technical expertise in support of USAF customers. In this role you will:
* Analyzing cost drivers for specific components or systems used by the Army.
* Identifying potential areas for cost reduction through value engineering or alternative sourcing for Army programs.
* Evaluating the impact of technology upgrades on LCC of Army systems.
* Developing cost models for new acquisitions being considered by the Army.
* Evaluating the cost of repairs and overhaul, including alternative maintenance strategies for Army assets. To be successful in this role you will:
* An active Secret clearance
* At least 8 years of related pricing or cost work experience and a Bachelor's Degree
* Experience with defense acquisition management processes as contained in the DoD 5000 series directives
* Understanding of the OSD and US Army Acquisition organizations
* Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
* 10% travel Additional desired experience and skills:
* Experience with cost and data analysis for a military defense organization
