This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer a DoW Secret security clearance. Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines.

The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force. Serco-NA is seeking a motivated individual to provide programmatic support to one of our NAVSEA customers.

Serco-NA has an opening for a Commitments Support Database Analyst with submarine experience to support an active contract with the U.S. Navy in the Washington, DC area. MS Access is used to support the commitments effort. Currently most electronic commitment documents that are being tracked are also held on a shared network drive. Three data entry personnel and one technical lead who manages the backup scheme;

designs data fields; creates ad-hoc and defined reports exported to MS Excel and PDF. General Duties
* The Commitments Support Database Analyst will be on a team to support the customer.
* The Commitments Support Database Analyst will work with Team Sub staff to route incoming commitments and update/maintain data used for tracking status of open items.
* The Commitments Support Database Analyst shall maintain database functionality and manage access required by 450T personnel. As the Commitments Support Database Analyst at our Washington, D.C. location around the historic Washington Navy Yard right by Nationals Stadium, you will be part of an integrated government-industry team and be an instrumental part in supporting Team Submarine where you will provide programmatic support to PMS
450. PMS
450 oversees the design, construction, and delivery of the VIRGINIA Class Submarines. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact on our military defense and safety of our sailors while building your background and expertise in support of the world's greatest Navy. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. To be successful in this role, you will have:
* An active DoW Secret security clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
* A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Management, or a related field is required.
* In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
* An active NNPI account and CAC
* To be knowledgeable of PMS

* Experience with Access databases desired.
* Six months to one year of experience in supply chain management, research analysis, financial/cost analysis, or a relevant field.
* Six months to one year of experience with Navy acquisition and Submarine Programs.
* Experience interfacing with an end item customer.
* To be knowledgeable of the budgeting process and Navy program execution.
* An active-duty experience in the submarine service preferred.
* Recent experience in Team Submarine would be ideal.
