The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Engineering Intern position will have hands-on project experience, a comprehensive understanding of the underlying mechanical engineering principles that drive product design, and familiarity with design for subtractive and additive manufacturing. Essential

Job Responsibilities Provide support to the design, development, prototype fabrication, and verification testing of unique specialty products, to include computer aided design (CAD) Perform system and sub-system analysis, simulation, and design work as required Work with mechanical system concepts and detailed designs to properly determine the necessary design tradeoffs Interface with external vendors to procure parts and components required to complete development efforts Participate in the assembly, system test planning, and system test procedure generation Adequately document processes, procedures and testing using structured formats.
