Traveling Applications Engineer
We are looking for two traveling applications engineers to join the team immediately. Travel expectation is national, 75-90% of the time to start, but the goal is to get travel down to 50% of the time. One person needs to be based in the DC metro area, and the other can sit in any major market/city. You will be supporting a large electronic security company and supporting programming and integration of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and intercom systems for a federal end client.
Your main responsibility will be setting up the program head end systems, IP the servers, set up all network switches and network intercoms, staging the system prior to installation - all programming complete - so that once it's installed, it should be able to function with minimal adjustments. You will also support the RFQ process with estimators and design engineers to provide technical expertise for design and network layouts to be included in design packages.
You will be required to pass a government background check similar to a clearance.
We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances.
If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to
