A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer & Team Lead to join its growing team in Alexandria, VA
. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned professional who thrives in a leadership role and is passionate about designing innovative fire protection and life safety solutions.
Lead the design of fire suppression and fire alarm systems across diverse markets including healthcare, commercial, academic, science & technology, and mission-critical facilities.
Design and oversee:
- Automatic sprinkler systems
- Standpipe systems
- Fire alarm and voice evacuation systems
- Mass notification systems
- Smoke control and special hazard detection systems
Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and HydraCALC to develop high-quality engineering designs.
Conduct site surveys, construction administration, field reviews, submittal reviews, and RFI responses.
Lead project teams, manage multiple concurrent projects, and mentor junior engineers.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Protection Engineering
- 10+ years of Fire Protection Engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) License Required
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills
- LEED accreditation preferred
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
