Critical decisions are made every day in our government. As an Orbital Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our nation's space missions and ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our satellite systems. If you are an analytical thinker, a problem solver, and a team player, we encourage you to apply. You will conduct orbital analysis and data interpretation in order to monitor and track satellite positions, trajectories, and potential collisions.
With our team you will analyze and identify anomalies in satellite behavior. You will participate in meetings and presentations to brief clients and management on orbital analysis findings

You can interact with operations managers, operators, and analysts on new analytic methods, technologies, and strategies, and collaborate with national and tactical operations elements to advance target development efforts, recommend strategies, and support strategic and operational requirements.

You Have:Experience with a scripting language such as shell, Perl, or Python
Knowledge of space surveillance and tracking systems, such as radar and optical sensors
Ability to compile and analyze statistics based on current space object population
TS / SCI clearance
Asso cia te’s degree and 8+ years of experience with space, engineering or orbital analytics, Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience with space, engineering or orbital analytics, or Master's degree and 4+ years of experience with space, engineering or orbital analytics
Nice If You Have:Experience with space and orbital mechanics and data analysis
Ability to identify and implement process improvements for more efficient and accurate analysis
Ability to use spe cia lized sof tware and tools to perform orbital calculations and predictions
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Clearance :Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required.
