Portfolio Operations Analyst

A well-established specialty finance company is seeking a Portfolio Operations Analyst to support its lending and portfolio management team. This role works closely with experienced professionals to help administer loan activity, maintain portfolio records, and support reporting across a diversified portfolio of loans.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with a finance or accounting background who enjoys working with data, supporting ongoing portfolio activity, and interacting with internal teams and external counter parties.

Alexandria / Arlington location. 2 to 3 days in the office.

• Maintain and update financial and operational information in Excel and internal tracking systems
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and organization of portfolio records and supporting documentation
• Monitor borrower compliance items such as insurance coverage, taxes, and other ongoing requirements
• Support senior team members with recurring and ad hoc reporting needs (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
• Assist with processing loan activity, including borrowing requests and documentation review
• Request required financial information and respond to routine borrower inquiries related to balances and activity

We have two roles. For the first, would consider recent grads with strong academic profile or strong intern experience. For the second role, would consider 1- 3 years of strong financial analysis experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field or relevant professional experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Comfort working with financial data, reports, and internal systems
• Experience with databases or reporting tools is a plus
