What You’ll Do in This Role:- Manage Accounting Operations: Support day‑to‑day accounting functions including funds certification, obligation review, reconciliation, and analysis of financial transactions
- Validate Financial Data: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all cost inputs, distributions, and transfers
- Perform Financial Reconciliations: Review and reconcile accounting records, financial reports, and operational statements to ensure compliance with regulations and guidance
- Prepare and Certify Documentation: Assist with the preparation and certification of financial and operating statement data
- Analyze Financial Activity: Provide insights through financial analysis, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions
- Apply Federal Financial Regulations: Utilize deep knowledge of DoD, Air Force, and federal financial management regulations to ensure proper handling of financial transactions
- Support Mission‑Critical Operations: Deliver timely and accurate financial support that enables operational readiness and informed decision‑making
- Collaborate with Leadership: Work directly with client leadership and Castro management to communicate financial findings and support ongoing requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, military pay, travel pay, civilian pay, or other related financial fields
- Minimum of 5 years of experience applying DoD, Air Force, or ANG‑level financial management regulations and guidance
- Strong understanding of federal financial regulations, accounting systems, and government financial management requirements
- Ability to perform reconciliations, analyze financial statements, and validate cost allocations
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
- Demonstrated experience supporting accounting functions in federal or DoD environments
- Strong knowledge of financial management regulations, processes, and accounting controls
- Ability to identify discrepancies, document findings, and prepare reports with clear recommendations
- Proficient in reconciling accounts, reviewing obligations, and ensuring data accuracy
