IT Audit Manager (US - Alexandria, VA, Columbus, OH, Indianapolis, IN)
Sikich is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented auditing professional with strong leadership and information technology skills. This role is contingent upon award of contract.
This position requires an active or interim Secret clearance or the ability to obtain this level of clearance.
What will you do in this role?- Provide first‑line supervision to a team of audit professionals.
- Review work products prepared by the team, including work papers, findings, reports, and other written deliverables, to ensure quality and consistency with auditing standards and firm guidelines.
- Design audit plans and procedures using a deep understanding of Government Auditing Standards and oversee the successful execution of those plans and procedures.
- Act as a self‑starter, delivering quality work products to the client with minimal direction from the supervisor.
- Supervise and review work performed by other staff.
- Develop team members through effective delegation of tasks and guidance.
- Provide subject‑matter technical expertise to the delivery team in financial management areas of financial reporting, internal control, and/or financial business systems.
- Review draft deliverables prepared by engagement teams and present final results to management.
- Assist Principals and Senior Managers in proposal creation, business development, and practice administration.
- Leverage technology, including data‑analysis tools and AI, to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of audit procedures.
- Advise and consult with Principals on all significant developments.
- Act as the primary liaison to the client and keep Principals aware of all major developments.
- Utilize technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Information Systems preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of auditing and/or related technical experience.
- Minimum interim or active Secret clearance.
- Management/leadership experience.
- Strong customer‑service skills.
- Project‑management experience.
- CISA certification preferred.
- Experience performing SOC 1 or SOC 2 audits (highly preferred).
- Familiarity with the FISCAM and/or FISMA frameworks acceptable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800‑53, Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations.
- Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards.
- Government Accountability Office (GAO) Government Auditing Standards (GAS).
- American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) AU‑Cs.
- GAO/Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) Financial Audit Manual (FAM).
- GAO Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM).
- Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Bulletin 24‑0‑2, Audit Requirements for Federal Financial Statements (as amended).
- Other federal reporting and accounting requirements such as U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) bulletins and circulars, the U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL), etc.
In compliance with state pay‑transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is $155,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
