Overview
We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to join our team. This Senior Accountant will apply technical expertise to develop a strategy that helps guide a large DoD service toward a successful financial statement audit.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate proficiency with accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations
- Master process documentation, risk assessment, planning, and writing
- Develop detailed plans that implement strategic goals and overall audit strategy
- Provide subject matter technical expertise to the team in financial management areas of financial reporting, audit remediation planning, and financial statement compilation
- Support strategic communications to foster coordination of enterprise stakeholders
- Self-starter takes the initiative to deliver quality work products to the client with little direction from supervisor
- Utilize technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn
- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Minimum of four (4) years of general financial management and accounting experience, of which two (2) years shall consist of experience performing financial statement audits or audit readiness services within the Department of Defense or the federal government
- Understanding of GAS, GAAP, SSFAS, audit procedures, audit cycle, and financial analysis techniques as they apply to DoD financial statements
- Proficient in MS Project
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Active Secret Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Salary and BenefitsThe expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $140,000. This range represents base pay and does not include bonuses or company contributions toward benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses where applicable.
