Terra is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Controller to lead and strengthen our financial operations. In this role, you will oversee all daily accounting activities, including accounts receivable invoicing, and ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports in compliance with GAAP. You will manage the full month-end close process and partner closely with operational teams to support informed business decisions.
The Controller will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies, and driving overall financial integrity. This role works closely with executive leadership and plays a key part in budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination, and strategic planning initiatives.

- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Review & analyze monthly balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Assist in the preparation and summarization of the company’s monthly financial forecast
- Analyze future earnings and expenses.
- Assists with the management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the organization.
- Assist operational team with monthly AR invoicing and the recording of revenues on a percentage of completion basis.
- Perform banking activities and reporting including but not limited to wires, ACH’s, positive pay.
- Help maintain the accounting system and the integration with project management software.
- Assists with preparation for audits and audit coordination
- Works with the accounting staff to reconcile accounts and discrepancies
- Review and prepare account analyses
- Ensure compliance with and prepare reports in accordance with applicable government regulations.
- Supervise and delegate accounting tasks to junior accounting staff.
- Coordinates with and prepares reports for CFO and upper management.
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

- Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field (master’s preferred)
- At least 10 years’ experience in accounting (construction industry experience is a plus)
