Job Description Accounting Analyst Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing organization in Alexandria, VA, is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join their finance team. This is a newly created, direct-hire role driven by growth—an excellent opportunity for a resourceful, entrepreneurial accountant to gain broad exposure across multiple businesses.

About the Opportunity Our client has evolved into a diversified entrepreneurial platform with investments and operating businesses across several industries. Operating with a startup and family-office mentality, they regularly launch and acquire new ventures. This role supports both the CFO and Senior Accountant, blending hands-on accounting (60–70%) with FP&A and analysis (30–40%).

Key Responsibilities
* Support monthly close across multiple entities
* Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
* Research and resolve account variances
* Review general ledger activity and maintain accounting accuracy
* Prepare journal entries and provide accounting support as needed
* Assist with billing, AP, and operational accounting
* Support budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and financial analysis
* Build and maintain Excel-based models and reporting
* Partner with the CFO on ad hoc analysis and strategic projects### Qualifications
* 2+ years of accounting experience (GL and bank recs preferred)
* Accounting, Finance, or Business-related degree preferred
* Lower-middle-market or startup experience a plus
* Quick Books Online experience preferred
* Strong Excel skills; financial analysis/modeling exposure a plus
* Go-getter, entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable working with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment
